Brandylion lives inside a 1907 house on the grounds of Presidio San Agustin, the walled fort where Tucson began. For more than two centuries, this corner has been a gathering place, and we built Brandylion to keep it one.
By day, we are a tea house. Tea and coffee service, pastries and charcuterie boards are offered in the quiet afternoon light of the Presidio, extending into the in-between hours of the afternoon and early evening. By night, we are a brandy bar, featuring the largest selection of brandy in the Southwest. Cocktails, beer and wine are poured beneath saturated red light at a marble bar, with a full non-alcoholic menu offered alongside for anyone who wants the party without the proof.
The design is Pueblo Deco: the geometry of the Art Deco age filtered through Sonoran light and adobe. Hand-painted murals, pendant lamps hung at staggered heights and a patio of mint-green bistro tables between stucco walls. Guests are welcome to wander past our patio and into the Presidio Museum to explore the exhibits. We wanted to curate a space that felt like Tucson remembering its own history and celebrating it all the while.
We are The Tiny Dutchmen, and Brandylion is a love letter written alongside our amazing partners, addressed to this neighborhood, the city we love. Come for the tea. Stay for the brandy. We’ll see you soon.
